Appropriation and the Urban Environment

CITY|SPACE plans to present 'Appropriation and the Urban Environment,' an investigation into how people take control of public space. From graffiti to ethnic enclaves, the act of appropriation shapes and marks a city as surely as buildings and roads. CITY|SPACE will look at the processes and people behind urban appropriation and investigate how these marks and acts affect our perception of the city.
